Mounting a Hydrogen Generator In Your Car - So It Does'nt Fall Out Or Explode
While many do-it-yourself hydrogen generator kits promise to help you build a hho generator that enables you to run your car on water, it's disappointing that almost all of them fail to mention certain important "mounting" issues that if not addressed before hand, can come back to haunt you later.
See, what many people don't realize is that, often pre-made or pre-assembled hydrogen generators bought from online auctions or made by people worldwide for you, don't always come with installation instructions that consider all the important "mounting" variables involved.
Here is a summary of some important issues you must consider in order to accomplish proper (safe and smart) installation of a hydrogen generator in your car.
1: Keep The HHO Unit Away From Extreme Heat
Hho fuel is safe when kept within the electrolyzer container. However, when dealing with a highly explosive gas it's a good idea to keep your hho generator away from any part under your hood that gets very hot. In other words, do not mount it right against the exhaust manifold or radiator and make sure the unit is not touching the engine in any way. You can usually find space between the radiator and front grill which tends to be the most popular spot in newer cars. Just make sure it's not actually touching anything that gets really hot and leave about an inch or two of space between the unit and any such area just to be sure.
2: Decide How To Mount The Unit And With What Support
Many creators of hydrogen car conversion kits and manuals tell you to use simple bungee chords to strap in your hho fuel cell device. In my experience this is a bad idea as bungee chords don't provide enough stability to keep the hho unit from shifting or coming loose altogether. It's better to use long metal strapping to secure it to the fiberglass bracing in the front wall of your vehicle. If you find that metal straps / clamps don't provide enough flexibility for your set up, use long plastic tie wraps and secure it tightly by passing them through holes you make in your fiberglass front wall. You may even want to make a custom base for it out of wood so that the hydrogen fuel cell generator sits snug in it's own exact shape. This way it can't move.
3: Position The Unit So You Can See The Water Level Sight Tubes And Refill When Needed
Most hydrogen generators for cars use clear plastic tubes that stick out the side of them and allow you to judge the current water level. When you choose a spot to mount your hho device make sure you can see these water level tubes without straining too much. Otherwise, you could forget to refill them within the necessary time frame and cause the engine to falter. Additionally, make sure it's in a spot that lets you easily access it in order to add water when needed. Don't make it too hard to get to, in plain sight and easily refillable without it being a chore to do.
4: Position The Unit So You Can Access The Electrical Connections For Occasional Tightening
With constant and frequent use, the electrical connections on a hho generator can loosen up. This occurs rarely and only if the generator overheats. Make sure you can easily reach all the connections on the unit in case you ever have to adjust or tighten them. By mounting your hho device in an easily accessible spot you will be able to tighten any loose connections that may occur over time and thus have a better working hydrogen generator.
Are you beginning to see why mounting hydrogen generators in vehicles is just as important as building and installing them. Hopefully, these tips have helped you realize how important it is to make these critical "mounting" decisions before you build any do-it-yourself hho fuel cell generators, as you may need to customize the dimensions a little for them to fit and work right within your car's available space. All the more reason why I recommend choosing a complete system that covers all the bases including proper mounting instructions that don't leave out important information that can make or break your success.
